I’m a reasonably competent Italian developer in my mid-30s. Since 2012 I've worked full-time as a freelance developer—and sometimes co-designer—partnering with independent designers and small graphic design studios such as Patrick Fry Studio, Designwork, Atto, Esploratori dello spazio, SMIT, Alessandro Scarpellini, Carl Barenbrug, Giulia Faraon, and many others.
My background is in graphic design but I’m slowly morphing from “designer who codes” to “developer who knows design”. To be perfectly honest with you, I’m not great at either of those two things but I try my best.
I have a love for typography and simplicity and a deep appreciation for websites that are infused with a sense of calm. I hate chasing trends, have a deep distaste for flashy animations, and I don’t enjoy the constant change of workflows and tools.
That is why I code pretty much everything using Kirby paired with good old HTML, CSS and vanilla JS. It's a simple stack but one that performs great for the type of work I like to do. I do some sysadmin, juggle a bunch of VPS, that kind of stuff but I’m no full-stack developer so if you’re looking for your next 10x developer to power your startup, look elsewhere because that ain’t me.
I'm always happy to make new connections so if you want to chat about new projects or just web and tech—or life in general—feel free to send me an email.
